Terms of Use

1. License

Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use VetClaims AI on machines you personally own or control. You may not resell, sublicense, distribute, or share the installer or your license key with others. The software itself is yours forever; updates within the v1.x series are included.

2. Educational Tool, Not Legal or Medical Advice

VetClaims AI is an educational research aid. It does not provide legal, medical, or financial advice. Output produced by the software — including draft nexus letters, personal statements, claim summaries, and roadmap recommendations — must be reviewed by a qualified professional before any reliance, submission, or action. Specifically:

• Nexus letter drafts must be reviewed and signed by a licensed medical provider who has personally evaluated you. Do not submit AI-generated medical opinions to the VA.

• Filing decisions should be made in consultation with a Veterans Service Organization (DAV, VFW, American Legion, AmVets) or VA-accredited attorney. They are free and they do this every day.

3. No Warranty

The software is provided “AS IS” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make no guarantee regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any output produced by the software. AI systems can make mistakes — cite-checking and human review are your responsibility.

4. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall the seller, author, or distributor be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the software, including but not limited to denied claims, lost benefits, lost time, or any reliance on any output of the software. Total liability for any direct claim is limited to the amount you paid for the software.

5. Third-Party Services

The software requires you to provide your own API key from Anthropic, PBC. Use of Anthropic’s services is subject to Anthropic’s terms and privacy policy. Anthropic charges you directly under that key; the seller of VetClaims AI does not bill for Anthropic usage.

License verification is performed via Gumroad’s API. Use of Gumroad’s services is subject to Gumroad’s terms.

6. Refunds

30-day refund window. Submit refund requests through Gumroad using the link in your purchase email. Gumroad processes the refund per their standard policy.

7. Updates

Updates within the v1.x series (e.g. 1.0.0, 1.1.0, 1.2.5) are free. Major version updates (v2.0+) may be offered as a paid upgrade. Updates are distributed through Gumroad — you’ll be notified by email when a new version is available.

8. Changes to These Terms

If these terms change materially, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and announce changes on the product page. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of the United States.
